Summary

Around 1939 a hoard of four Bronze Age copper alloy rivetted rapier blades were recovered from the parish of Swaffham.

Found north of St Guthlac's Chapel.
Hoard of 4 Bronze Age rivetted rapier blades:
1. 20 1/2 inches [52cm] long.
2. 14 1/2 inches [37cm] long.
3. 13 1/4 inches [34cm] long.
4. 15 3/4 inches [40cm] long.
Nos 1, 2 and 4, are incomplete.
Purchased by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1953.75).
