Summary

Metal-detecting between 2002 and 2019 recovered Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons and undatable, Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undatable casting waste; a Roman hair pin, harness mount and brooches; a Late Saxon/medieval mount, possibly from a piece of furniture; a Late Saxon/post-medieval spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval gilt book fitting, sheet mount; coin weight, scabbard chape, thimble and lamp suspension unit; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel rim, ring, copper alloy rivet, sword belt mount and part of an ewer and a post-medieval belt or harness mount.

Medieval copper alloy buckle frame, rectangular with central bar, slightly concave on all sides with pairs of oblique lines around sides and outside edges. This example, although it lacks a single border line, is very similar to (S1). 44 x 43mm.
