Summary

In 2002 an archaeological excavation was carried out here as part of a children's holiday scheme. This work did not uncover any features of archaeological interest and the finds recovered were exclusively post-medieval and modern.

August 2002. Excavation.
Undertaken as part of a summer holiday activity programme for children organised by Broadland District Council. Contexts 1-5.
Revealed an extensive layer of chalk with flints; probably a deliberately lain levelling deposit.
No other archaeologically significant features or deposits.
Finds predominantly modern, although a small number of post-medieval pottery sherds and clay tobacco pipe fragments were also recovered.
