A pillbox can be seen as a structure at TF 7710 4502 on 1945 aerial photographs (S1 and S2). The structure is rectilinear and measures about 6.5m across. It is situated about 100m south of the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club, which was used by the military in World War Two, and was built into a bank, which appears to be part of the sea defences and land reclamation attempts in this area. The structure is no longer standing in 1972 (S3), however a parchmark (or area of concrete) shows where it stood.
A. Hunt (NMP), 30 January 2001.
