Summary

Three sections of bank are visible as earthworks on 1944 aerial photographs. They are located close to a similar feature (NHER 1274), a possible post medieval bank or Roman road. The similar appearance of the three banks suggests that they may be of similar date and/or function.

Three sections of bank are visible as earthworks on 1944 aerial photographs (S1). These sections run roughly east to west at TF 6784 4210 to TF 6794 4209, TF 6788 4206 to TF 6803 4204 and TF 6805 4203 to TF 6819 4198. These banks lie very close to a similar feature, recorded as NHER 1274 and interpreted as a post medieval bank and possibly a Roman road/agger. The similar appearance of the three bank sections suggests that they may be of similar date/function.
