Map

January 2001. NMP.
A length of minefield is visible on the 1944 aerial photographs (S1) (TF 6887 4327 to TF 6926 4377) as an earthwork. It lies along the coast behind a length of scaffolding (beach defence - NHER 26694) and forms a part of the World War Two coastal defence in this area. At the northeast end of the minefield is a length of barbed wire fence (TF 6931 4387 to TF 6930 4372), which would have added to the defence of this area.
