Map

January 2001. NMP.
A gun emplacement is visible on 1944 aerial photographs (S1) northeast of a coastal battery (NHER 26938) at TF 6784 4236. It is situated at the edge of a cultivated field, close to the cliff edge. It would have formed part of the World War Two coastal defences in this area. It is situated between the ends of two minefields (NHER 26690 and 26938), thus protecting an otherwise unprotected section of coast.
A. Hunt (NMP), 17 January 2001.
