Map

February 2001. NMP.
A network of possible ditches can be seen as cropmarks around TF 692 424 on 1945 (S1) and 1946 (S2) aerial photographs. The ditches appear to be linear and fairly regular, covering an area of roughly 150 by 200m. The east to west ditches run roughly parallel to the road. It would thus appear that this is a modern drainage system. It could possibly be a prehistoric field system, but its regularity and its orientation along the line of the modern road would suggest that it probably is not.
A. Hunt (NMP), 5 February 2001.
