Summary

A house, at least three possible Nissen huts and four or five unidentifiable structures are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. Their close proximity to World War Two military sites (for example NHER 23518, 26714, 26750 and 26751) suggests that most or all of them were also World War Two military features. By 1971 only the house survived.

Map

January 2001. NMP.
A group of buildings can be seen at TF 7021 4421 on the 1944 aerial photographs (S1). The group comprises of what appears to be a dwelling house, at least three possible Nissen huts and four or five unidentifiable structures. Their close proximity to sites NHER 23518, 26714, 26750 and 26751 suggests that they may have had a military function. The same structures can be seen on a 1945 aerial photograph (S2), but by 1971, only the dwelling house structure can be seen on the aerial photograph (S3), suggesting that the other buildings were military, and thus dismantled after World War Two.
A. Hunt (NMP), 19 January 2001.
