Map

September 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Group of ditches running TF 6880 4278 to TF 6884 4282, then continuing to the south east for approximately 210m, in an interrupted linear feature to TF 6905 4275. These are visible on 1967 OS aerial photographs (S1) and Hunting Survey photographs from 1969 (S2). This ditch is quite broad in places, varying from 2m to 5.5m. This linear feature underlies the present post medieval field boundaries. So it is likely to pre-date the modern system. It could be an early drainage feature or even marking earlier field boundaries.
S. Massey (NMP), 18 September 2002.
