Map

July 2001. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmark of a curvilinear enclosure is visible at TF 6894 4111 on RAF 1946 aerial photographs (S1), it is approximately 80m across and the ditch is around 3m wide. The complete circuit of the ditch is not traceable, although this may be due to disturbance or masking of the feature, rather than its original structure. The enclosure does appear to have been cut by two linear ditches, which are likely to be medieval or later boundaries relating to the layout of Hunstanton Park or earlier fields, see NHER 26941. It is possible that this curvilinear enclosure is late prehistoric in date.
S. Massey (NMP), 10 July 2001.
