Full Description
This 18th century building was converted and extended in the 19th century for use as an abattoir. The interior of the building survives intact with machinery, pig oven, stable etc.

This building was added to English Heritage's List of Buildings of Historical and Architectural Interest.
It is a Grade II listing and includes the former abbatoir, stable and outbuildings.
The main building is a single storey red brick structure with a pantile roof, constructed in the early 18th century and modified in the 19th century. The abbatoir served the Morton Hall estate until the 1920's and has survived with little alteration.
