Summary

Metal-detectin between 2002 and 2003 recovered Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval objects. These finds include Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon and Late Saxon brooches, an Early Saxon wrist clasp, Middle Saxon coins, a possible Middle Saxon stylus and medieval and post medieval coins. Pieces of Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval pottery were also been found. Fieldwalking undertaken around the same time located two concentrations of prehistoric burnt flints and discrete scatters of what were identified by the finder as Iron Age and medieval pottery sherds.
