Full Description
Early March 2003. Fieldwalking.
Within NHER 26760.
Spoil spread over surrounding field from excavation of new pond and of ditch from old pond to the south yielded a large amount of predominantly 2nd/early 3rd century Roman pottery, including many fresh sherds.
A few medieval and only one post medieval sherd.
The Roman material indicates settlement.

Further finds of Roman pottery: seventeen greyware, two buff oxidised and one Nene Valley colour coated (139g). One glazed Grimston.
