Summary

Excavation of a small evaluation trench in 2003 recorded a post medieval cobbled surface and a Late Saxon pit. Finds associated with these features included Late Saxon and medieval pottery, animal bone, and oyster shell.

Excavation of a small evaluation trench recorded a small pit sealed beneath a sandy deposit yielding small quantities of animal bone and Late Saxon Thetford Ware. This in turn was sealed by a loosely packed cobbled surface associated with post medieval pottery, oyster shell and animal bone.
