Full Description
May 2003. Trial Trench.
From context 1.
Excavation of a small evaluation trench recorded a small pit sealed beneath a sandy deposit yielding small quantities of animal bone and Late Saxon Thetford Ware. This in turn was sealed by a loosely packed cobbled surface associated with post medieval pottery, oyster shell and animal bone.
See report (S1) for further details. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2).
