Map

January 2003. Norfolk NMP.
The southernmost feature is visible as two separate areas of lighter coloured cropmark (S1) although it was probably originally all one mound, with an irregular to sub-rounded shape in plan. The complete feature has a north to south length of 83m and a width of 57m. The northernmost feature (S1) appears as two separate sub-rounded to irregular parchmarks that probably represent one large site intersected by the former course of a saltmarsh channel. The north-western part of this feature has a maximum length of 66m and the south-eastern feature has a maximum length of 44m.
These features do not appear to have been recorded during the Fenland Survey, suggesting the possibility that if this area was surveyed they were not visible as earthworks. These features are situated to the north of the Sea Bank (NHER 2187) and are likely to be medieval in date.
M. Brennand (NMP), 7 January 2003.
