Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The feature appears to be a raised circular area or platform (S1), surrounded by a shallow ditch. The feature has an approximate diameter of 10m. To the north is a short length of curvilinear feature, which may simply be a drain and not associated with the ring ditch.
The purpose of the circular feature is unknown but it is unlikely to be of any great antiquity. It may represent the site of a small structure or wind pump, although the exact location is isolated and not connected to a drain system. Equally this may be a military structure, although it is not near any similar known military sites.
M. Brennand (NMP), 22 October 2002.
