Map

June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
The features are visible (S1) within a rectangular area of land with an east to west length of 89m and a width of 66m. The features are relatively narrow and straight, and are probably not classic ridge and furrow in the medieval sense, but more akin to lazybedding. This type of earthwork can be seen on the newly reclaimed saltmarsh elsewhere in this area. Its exact purpose is unknown, but it possibly dates from the Post-medieval period.
M. Brennand (NMP), 23 June 2003.
