Map

June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
The features are aligned in approximately north to south and east to west directions (S1). There is a single north to south aligned linear feature running down the centre of the area. Attached to its eastern side is a four sided, rectangular enclosure or field, with an apparent entrance in the southern side. The enclosure has a length of 34m and a width of 17m. The eastern side of this enclosure continues to the south, and also forms the eastern side of a square enclosure or field, with an entrance in its south-east corner. There are two linear features running from the western side of the main north to south linear. The southernmost of these forms the northern, flat side of a D-shaped enclosure or field.
All of these features are likely to be relatively recent, or post-medieval in date, although a medieval date cannot be ruled out. They are likely to represent field and allotment boundaries, although they may also have had a drainage purpose.
M. Brennand (NMP), 23 June 2003.
