Summary

A watching brief in 2003 identified a spread of bricks, 20th century bottles, tile, glass and post medieval pottery which was interpreted as either part of a rubbish dump or derived from the remains of a structure.

Maintained during construction of new flood defences along the western bank of the River Yare (Broadland Flood Alleviation Project - Compartment 11).
Spread of bricks, 20th century bottles, tile, glass and 19th century pottery, interpreted as either part of a rubbish dump or derived from the remains of a structure.
The exact position of this debris is not recorded, although it apparently lay somewhere between Chainage 1250 and 2050, that is, between TG 4621 0438 and TG 4574 0385.
