Summary

In 1964 two post medieval wells and a post medieval oven were found during building work. Medieval and post medieval pottery was recovered, along with leather shoe fragments.

1964. Southwest of Fuller's Hill. During building operations for new garage.
Two wells found and pottery from 12th century to modern including Pingsdorf, painted ware, and a 17th century pottery 'Dutch oven'. Fragment of Holy water stoop also found. Also cut antler - young red deer.
A little to east and 90m (300 feet) from River Bure, a pit dug for fuel tank.
Revealed black silt at about 1.8m (6 feet) deep and leather shoe fragments recovered from about 3.15m (10 feet 6 inches).
The Pingsdorf ware and the Dutch oven are in (NCM).
