Full Description
January 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A ring shaped feature is showing clearly on the NLA 1995 air photographs (S1). This feature is centred on NGR TF7102 4484 and is ca. 12m across. It is located very near to the World War II military installation of NHER. 23518 (23517 and 32533). The origin of this feature is uncertain, but it seems likely to be connected with the military installation in some way. It is possible that it is some form of gun emplacement?
Also this has been mapped as a ditch as this is what it appeared to be, however, other than seeing that it is a ring it was quite difficult to discern what kind of feature it actually was. (There is a possibility that it should actually be structure or perhaps even bank?)
