Summary

An aerial photograph of this site from 1967 records a series of ditches and banks and a small ovoid enclosure. These features are likely to be either late medieval or most likely post medieval in date. They most likely represent the remains of drains or land boundary features although they may be the remains of a system of water meadow type features.

Map

August 2001. Norfolk NMP.
The majority of the features are ditches, aligned in a north-to-south direction, from 19m to 25m apart. A single linear feature extends into the area north of Church road (S1 and S2). The area between the eastern three features appears to be raised and levelled, to form platforms. Within the western area of the field is an oval shaped ditch which may be an enclosure type feature surrounding a small platform (TF 6881 3407). The enclosure has a maximum diameter 28m.
These features are likely to be either late medieval or most likely post medieval in date. They most likely represent the remains of drains or land boundary features although they may be the remains of a system of water meadow type features.
