Map

August 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Within the area there are two major north to south linear features and a fragmentary east to west linear feature (S1). The western north to south feature (TF 7944 4108 to TF 7953 4167) appears partially as a parchmark or bank, with a ditch on its western side. It has a length of 600m. The eastern north to south aligned feature (TF 7970 4115 to TF 7972 4144) appears as a parchmark or bank, with a darker cropmark representing a ditch on its eastern side. It has a length of 280m. The east to west aligned feature (TF 7931 4115 to TF 7976 4122) is more fragmentary, and slightly offset at its centre. It has a minimum overall length of 450m. This feature is intersected by two short stretches of north to south linear feature.
Although none of these features are visible on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey (S2) they are probably medieval or post medieval in date. They are all likely to represent field boundaries, although they are probably not all contemporary.
M. Brennand (NMP), 29 August 2002.
