Map

September 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The easternmost features is comprised of 5 timber posts aligned in a north to south direction (TF 75260 45175 to TF 75261 45152). The structure has an overall length of 24m. These are likely to be erosion defences of a Post-medieval or modern date, but a Roman, Saxon or medieval period date cannot be ruled out.
The westernmost feature is comprised of three linear timber (probably) elements (centre: TF 75106 45106) with an overall north to south distance of 60m. This is probably a modern groyne but may have a 1939-45 military origin.
M. Brennand (NMP), 5 September 2002.
