Map

June 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The three features are relatively ephemeral and indistinct, and only the central feature is diagnostically anthropogenic in origin. It is a relatively narrow ditch, running in a north to south direction, with a recorded length of 123m (S1). The apparent larger feature visible to the east has a length of 240m, and width of 25m. This may be a former river channel or palaeochannel, but it does appear to have remarkably straight sides, suggesting it may be anthropogenic, and has simply been widely dispersed by the plough. The westernmost feature is aligned in an east to west direction, with a length of 100m. These are all probably former field or land boundaries or drainage ditches, although the easternmost feature may be a canalised channel or redundant drain.
M. Brennand (NMP), 20 June 2002.
