Summary

Part of a medieval wooden ship was found during sewer laying work in 1952. Associated with this was a fragment of medieval pottery found under the remains of a wall. It may be that the ship lay in or next to a slipway or some similar structure.

Part of a 13th to 14th century ship located in east side of South Quay, found during sewer laying works.
Notes by C. Green. (S1).

Clinker built with felted horse hair pads between its planks; associated with 14th century green glazed pipkin handle under a 14th to 15th century brick wall (S2).
