Summary

A platform-type deposit of very compact chalk mixed with brick flecks and flint nodules was observed during a 2004 watching brief, under the medieval footings of St Andrew's Hall. It should be stressed, however, that this investigation was very limited and that the chalk platform may not be in evidence beneath the building.
