Summary

Aerial photographs of this area that were taken in 1972 show the cropmarks of a ring ditch with a central pit. The ring ditch may be of Bronze Age date, with the pit being a grave, but there are other non-archaeological features of a similar nature nearby, so this is far from certain.

Map

February 2004, Norfolk NMP.
Possible undated or Bronze Age ring ditch visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1972 (S1). The ring ditch is complete with a 10m diameter. A pit, measuring approximately 2m x 3m, is located within the centre of the ring ditch and may be a grave pit. The ring ditch was located in an area of geological cropmarks and its interpretation as an archaeological feature is not completely certain.
