Map

February 2004, Norfolk NMP.
Ditches visible as earthworks on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1). The most southerly ditch extends for 230m on a north to south alignment between TG 3510 2673 and TG 3509 2650. To the north of this feature was a second ditch extending for 86m between TG 3502 2678 and TG 3510 2675. A third ditch between TG 3498 2679 and TG 3501 2671 was aligned perpendicular to the surviving field pattern and may be an earlier field boundary. Two parallel curving ditches were present from TG 3502 2681 to TG 3504 2688 and TG 3507 2683 to TG 3508 2688. The final ditch in the group lay to the north of the former railway line. This feature extended for 71m between TG 3511 2693 and TG 3514 2687. It is cut by a modern ditch that is recorded on the second edition Ordnance Survey map (25 inch, 1902 to 1907) (S2). The majority of the ditches recorded in this group are likely to relate to drainage activity. All features appear to have been levelled by 1988 (S3).(S1 to 3).
