Summary

Metal-detecting here in 2002 and 2019 recovered a Roman pottery sherd; Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and a range of other, undated and Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated furniture fitting; a Middle Bronze Age hoard comprising two palstave axeheads; a Bronze Age socketed axehead fragment; a Middle/Late Bronze Age unidentified gold object; a Late Saxon buckle, stirrup-strap mount and bridle bit; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a post-medieval silver button); a medieval casket mount, horse harness pendant, copper alloy vessel fragments, copper alloy ampulla, copper alloy weight, copper alloy seal matrix, lead pilgrim badges and lead pot mends; a medieval/post-medieval candleholder, thimble, purse bar mount, knife end stop, iron possible padlock case, copper alloy vessel fragments and lead weights; post-medieval crotal bells, a coin weight, staff ferrule, spur rowel, book clasp, copper alloy vessel fragment, lead alloy weight, lead standing weight and lead cloth seal and a potentially post-medieval mount.

6 post-medieval coins, 1 jetton, a belt mount, buckle, coin weight, lead-alloy weight and lead cloth seal.
