Amended by P. Beers (HES), 20 June 2020.
The remarkable point about this east-west house is that it almost touches the north-south Saffron Cottage (NHER 39559) of similar date, both set back east of the present road.
Seen only from upper floor of adjacent house, enough to confirm general description remains the same.
E. Rose (NLA), 21 July 2003.
February 2008. Building recording.
One- and-a-half storey, two celled timber framed house. There is a clay lump and a more recent extension to the west end of the house, and a single storey stair tower on the south east corner. Internally, the eastern most room on the ground floor has a timber-framed chimeny, now divided in two and sharing hearth space with the room behind.
See (S2) and (S3) for further details.
H. White, (NLA), 1 September 2009
