Summary

A ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. Although the ring ditch has not been dated, its form and location in an area of known early prehistoric ceremonial activity suggests strongly that it is the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow.

Map

A ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1). It may form an outlier to the Bronze Age linear barrow cemetery approximately 190m to its south (NHER 38448). It has a single, unbroken ditch which is slightly sub-circular in plan and has a diameter of 14m. An internal pit, presumably a grave pit, is positioned slightly off centre to the ditch.
