Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1996 recovered fifteen very small and abraded sherds of medieval pottery. All these sherds belonged to local wares apart from one which was from a glazed Grimston Ware vessel.

March 1996. Casual fieldwalking near edge of former common (a tongue projecting into Wendling from southeast corner of High Green, Great Fransham). Bare patches within cereal. No edges of pottery spread established.
Fifteen very small and abraded sherds of medieval pot weighing only 21g, all unglazed local apart from one glazed Grimston.
