Summary

Sporadic metal-detecting between 1998 and 2022 recovered Late Iron Age, Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a possible Roman coin blank; post-medieval jettons; a post-medieval token and a range of other, Middle Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Middle Bronze Age unidentified ‘moustache-shaped’ object; Roman brooches and a lock pin; a potentially Roman copper alloy unidentified object; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval harness pendants, a key, sword chape, leash swivel, copper alloy and lead seal matrices and an iron hook or staple; a potentially medieval furniture mount; a medieval/post-medieval purse fragment and a post-medieval harness mount, book clasp, spur fragment and end cap from knife.
