Summary

This timber-framed threshing barn is of early 18th century. It is a fine building and survives in a remarkably unaltered state. The frame has mid rails, tension braces, arch braced trusses to central bay with primary rking queen struts. Claped upper purlins with reduced principals. Butt lower purlins.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"17th century timber-frame barn, weatherboarded and now mostly clad in corrugated iron. Steep gable-ended roof clad in corrugated iron. Three bay barn with cart entrance at centre. Later lean-tos on north side, and west end. Tiebeam with arched braces."
