(S3) suggests that the building was constructed in the late fifteenth-century with a hall, cross passage, service rooms and parlour. The hall may have had an original floor. In the seventeenth- century a new floor was inserted or rebuilt in the service bay with elaborate principle joist chamfer stops. Later extensions have been added to the east side.
