Summary

Linear and rectilinear ditches and a bank of unknown date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. It is possible that they form part of the field system to their west (NHER 38499), much of which may date to the Iron Age to Roman period. They could equally be associated, however, with the post-medieval plantation woodland in which they lie.

Map

March 2004, Norfolk NMP
Linear and rectilinear ditches and a bank are visible as earthworks on vertical aerial photographs (S1-2), centred at TG 2414 3505. The features may be drainage ditches, tracks and a plantation bank associated with the post-medieval plantation in which they lie. It is notable, however, that the north-western ditch shares an alignment with elements of a field system of possible Iron Age to Romano-British date 350m to its west (NHER 38499).
