Map

The remains of a World War Two road block is visible on Station Road Sheringham on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). These defences appear to be related to other road block remains to the north and west (NHER 32520 and 28241), which may be part of World War Two Home Guard exercises in Sheringham. All that remains of the road block in 1946 is two parallel worn lines across the road, presumably marking the former position of a barrier of some sort.
S. Massey (NMP), 23 March 2004.
