Map

March 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks and soilmarks of a possible post medieval water meadow are visible on RAF aerial photographs (S1 and S2). The ditch along the northeast side and the east to west ditch through the centre of the area were extant in 1946 (S1). Other ditches survived as earthworks at that date. By 1964 the area had been ploughed and internal ditches are visible as soilmarks on aerial photographs (S2). The extent of the cropmarks corresponds with a low lying wet area noted during fieldwalking (NHER 35227). Further water meadows are located to the east and south of this site (NHER 38444, 38451).
J. Albone (NMP), 24 March 2004.
