Full Description
December 2003. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site adjacent to the Old Rectory, Station Road. Contexts 100 to 205.
Despite the proximity of this site to known medieval and Late Saxon archaeology, only two features were encountered: a faint hedgeline running east to west, and a shallow ditch running northwest to southeast. Neither feature was dated.
See report (S1) for further details. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2) and (S3).
The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2013.177).
A. Cattermole (NLA), 3 August 2004. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 16 May 2019.
