September 2003. Field Observation.
Examined by E. Rose (NLA).
In addition, top of shop front has ornate plaster detailing; north wall (under carriage arch) of pebble flint. For some reason this building is listed as one with No. 11 (NHER 39686) but they are entirely separate buildings. The date of 17th century given by (S1) seems to refer more to No. 11; the exterior of No. 12 is all 19th century, though there might be an older core.
E. Rose (NLA), 24 September 2003.
