Map

April 2004. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a probable medieval to post medieval croft and toft are visible on aerial photographs (S1-2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3939 2860. Three sides of an incomplete enclosure are present, with an east to west ditch to the north forming a possible fourth side. A possible pit is visible part way along the northern ditch (S1). A negative cropmark relating to two walls of a structure is visible along the road frontage (S2). A building is shown at this location on the 1840 Lessingham tithe map, but none of the ditches recorded as cropmarks were depicted (S3). It is possible that the enclosure related to a medieval to post medieval croft, with only the house remaining in 1840.
