Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2009 recovered ?Upper Palaeolithic/Mesolithic, ?Mesolithic/Neolithic, Neolithic and undatable Late Prehistoric worked flints; Roman, Late Saxon/medieval and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval jetton; a medieval token and Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an Iron Age/Roman toggle; a ?Roman copper alloy bead; medieval dress accessories, copper alloy seal matrix, spur and horse-harness fittings; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and post-medieval dress accessories, rowel spur, crotal bell and silver thimble.
