October to November 2003. Metal detecting.
Medieval copper alloy mount from ?horse harness or ?casket, worn and corroded (unfortunately the surface has been stripped since discovery), circular, no visible means of attachment, large letter W ensigned by an open crown, between two letters B, edge ?cut down, diameter 35mm. Possibly a personal or family badge. 14th-15th century.
