November 2003. Listed, Grade II.
Premises built for J. Chadwick, saddler, obit 1855, on existing 18th century building, perhaps that shown on map of 1747. Three storeys at front, 2 at rear.
Flint and brick.
3 bay façade with ornate bracket formerly for clock added by J Briggs in 1894 when a clock shop, otherwise little changed since 1900.
Interior of older part with chamfered beams and butt purlin roof; front range with 19th century stairs and fireplaces, decorations etc and knee braces in roof.
