Full Description
Boathouse. In form of tunnels dug into cliff at end of lake. Four tunnels, one of which served as a dry dock, the others as wet docks. Built of bricks with diagonal skintlings, this is probably another example of this form occurring on late examples of white bricks, as the tunnels must be mid 19th century. They were later faced in stone towards the lake with a balustrade and steps down at each end.
