Full Description
1862. In gravel pit.
Quantity of cattle bones.
Imitation Gallo-Belgic ware, black micaceous with pattern (17.8cm (7in) diameter) with imitation potter's mark. Kick in centre (see for comparison (S1)).
Find held by NCM, Beloe Collection (NWHCM : 1908.22 ).
Probably dating to AD 40-60. See (S2), (S3), (S4) and (S5).

It is suggested in (S6) that this pottery vessel may be from the gravel pit in which a Mr Parrott had recovered a number of Iron Age loomweights - NHER 4403.
