Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A series of banks are visible under the trees within Holkham Meals. They can be seen on Hunting Survey 1969 aerial photographs. The date and origin of these features are unknown. They do not appear to be natural, but the trees over the site restrict visibility. There is a possibility that this site has a military origin as nearby in the woods there are World War Two military related sites. In size the area reaches from TF9026 4561 (in the southwest), to TF9073 4552 (in the southeast), to TF9053 4578 (in the north).
H. Clare (NMP), 11 November 2002.
