Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The remains of what appears to be a wreck of unknown date is visible on the sand bank of Bob Hall’s sand near to Lodge Marsh. It can be seen on Cambridge University Collection of Aerial Photographs aerial photographs from 1984 (S1). It is located at NGR TF9238 4622 (lying approximately northeast to southwest). Although this appears to be a wreck it is quite small and so not completely clear, therefore there is always the possibility that it is just some form of marine debris.
(Due to the location of the site rectifying the photograph was difficult. The image was rectified, although the control points were fairly far apart. Therefore the accuracy is limited. Although this makes the location more approximate than ideal, the fact that it was a vertical aerial photograph means that it is reasonable approximation, and once the image had been inserted the coastal features visible seemed to tie up quite well between map and aerial photograph).
H. Clare (NMP), 11 November 2002.
